so far I have only two sets of civilian clothing and a pack trip with disposable razor, toothpaste / brush, shaving cream, shampoo, deodorant and packaged.

do I need anything else, or will they let me buy it Benning?

Yes ... phone cards! You can get on base, but if you can .. you can probably find cheaper around your way.

BTW ... Do not buy running shoes for the moment ... because they will size your feet and tell you if you are caught off guard or something .... and they will give you a specific type of running shoe for your foot type to Basic.
