How do I stop shaving rash? Hello all
Please could you give me advice on how to stop shaving rash.
I tried to use a single razor blade and that helped a little, but if you have products that also help prevent the rash coming up please post them here.
Thank you,
Danny
Use a razor the best quality you can afford and be ready to change blades when they start to Blunt - I like the Mach 3, but the sensor was too large Excel razor.
Always shave after having a thorough wash first and use good shaving cream / foam - use a brush to apply that raises the hair on the skin and helps soften.
Always follow the line of growth of beard, never shave against it and do not push too hard on the skin - which irritates. Be prepared to go over areas a couple of times rather than trying to get the widest possible in a single blow.
Wash your face with warm water and pat dry the skin with a washcloth, do not rub too hard. Use a good after-shave balm (Boots do much of their area of Botany, but the best I've tried is Clinique Post Shave Healer) and moisturizer. Do not apply aftershave or cologne for at least ten minutes.
preventing the eruption is the greatest thing, then you will have less to worry about this department
Make sure you use shaving cream, use a sharp blade and moisturize, shortly after, more than once if you feel necessary.
over time, you will find this less of a problem
If you have been shaving for a while, then you better go to the pharmacy for creams / ointments to the rash only if its bad. otherwise id just keep trying the moisturizer or aloe vera, its really good and ideal for cooling sunburn too :-)
luck x
Hi Danny
Do not shave against the hair growth, which should make it easier.
Using shaving cream so that you do not pull the hair that you shave.
Avoid after-shave, as they will make your face sting.
Wash with cool water.
Use a razor blade to shave it and do not drag hair.

b4 you start to shave, put on a hot (as hot as you can stand) fabric on the face, it will soften your hair and opens the pores once you've finished shaving, cold water to close pores and apply the gel, witch hazel, this should solve the problem?
Do not drag the razor with great strides. best short works move also continue to put the razor in water. Make sure the water you use is always hot and you let the shaving cream softens the hair.
Buy Mach 3 Fusion Phillips: they smooth shave, then another product without giving you a rash.

use conditioner instead of shaving gel, it is a trick I discovered by chance and it works form me and moisturize afterwards.
Use an electric razor, never had any problems with them. Much easier too
I have a 2 blade disposable with built in tape aloe vera seems to be the case
Use "Aloe Vera Gel after shaving, it will really help.
Get the best to Holland and Barratt.
