Hexcentric, how to thread the cord? I have some old Hexcentrics I would like to replace the cord. I bought the new 5.5 mm cord Blue Water Titan to replace the cord 5.5mm Spectra I put in 20 years. I remember that it is difficult to run power in the hex at the time, but I do not remember how I did. Can someone tell me how to thread the cord through the holes 5.5mm Hexcentric?
If you have enough cord to lose a few inches, first make a cut diagonally to each hexagon (with a hot knife) to create a point threadable. But even that requires a good clip and patience.
When finished, remove the cap by a flat cut (again with a hot knife) and tie the ends with a triple fisherman's knot.
BTW, I'm sure you are aware that degrades nylon in the sunlight because the UV component. This applies to your strings, the new Titan cord, and probably all your other strap. Most manufacturers recommend replacement after only 5 years (which is too conservative IMO), even if there is no visible wear and tear.
