Sewing Kits For Sale

I sewed by hand for a while now, and I'm really interested in trying e sewing, as with LED lights or other electronic triggers.

I looked around online, but most websites and forums do offer kits for sale or looking really advanced projects.

I am not opposed to buying a kit, but I live in South Africa and control abroad is ab * tch. So can anyone recommend some easy to write tutorials or books that I can use?
