Ripstik Wheels

Ripstik WheelsRipStik Design

The RipStik is a board that is designed very differently then a board that you've seen on the market. The board has only two wheels that rotate 360 degrees. The wheels are placed under two bridges connected by a spring bar rotation. Bridges Twist opposite each other to create the movement necessary to move forward. Therefore you can be propelled without your feet touching the ground. RipStik wheels are designed to be able to run for a long period. A typical wheel wear extremely fast because the RipStik the journey will not begin to walk the board when riding. With the wheel contour design RipStik wheels last longer. The wheels are sized at 76mm and 85A, and the bearings are ABEC5. The RipStik wheels keep you riding longer before you need to change.

The bridges are made from high quality and very strong ABS plastic. You can ride you board for a long time before you notice a difference in riding ability. While the board is slightly heavier then most types of table, it really less effect with this card when cruising the streets. In addition to the bridges are the face plates and grip. The outside handle gives your feet a decision of Nice along the perimeter of each deck. Therefore, if your feet slide for some reason the grip will grab your shoe and keep you on the board. In the middle of the upper part of each deck are the grip pads. These non-skid pads are small sections for grasping much of your shoe on the bridge. In addition to the bridges RipStik are interchangeable deck plates. There are silver, green, blue, red, pink and bridges can all be placed on any RipStik. Personalize your RipStik by interchanging the deck plates with others. Try putting a blue apron and green at the same time a bridge, or a combination of two other colors. Incorporate color wheel and so your design possibilities are endless. On the underside of the plate is where the screws are located to remove a deck plate and change it.

The two ABS decks are connected to a load spring rotation bar. This technology makes the RipStik different then say a normal skateboard. This rotating bar is what allows each deck individually turn to produce the motion you need to propel you without pushing on the ground. The 360 degree swivel freewheels twist and turn as your feet swivels each deck. The correct movement is an "S" with your shoulders and hips and it is this movement coupled with technology RipStik that propels you forward. When you're good RipStik you do not think about how it works. It just becomes so natural, and you'll be able to balance as you walk. Hopefully, the understanding of technology and how it works will help you get started and more comfortable on your RipStik.
