7 Crossdressing Secrets to a long-lasting shave Crossdressers and transsexuals face many challenges, but perhaps none as frustrating as the battle of the beard. Shaving is quick and easy, but can lead to razor burn and ingrown hairs, not to mention the frustration of seeing a dark beard every few hours.
Although there is nothing that you can do to stop the beard growing (aside from painful electrolysis), it is possible for any crossdresser or transsexual have a soft, smooth, feminine face.
Here are seven secrets to get smoother, longer lasting shave possible:
1. Avoid shaving first thing in the morning. Most people wake up with skin slightly swollen in the morning. You will get a closer shave if you wait 20-30 minutes for the skin to tighten, exposing more of the hair shaft.
2. Preparing your skin. Take a shower or wrap a hot, damp towel around your face and neck for several minutes before shaving to soften the beard and open the hair follicles.
3. Always exfoliate. Use a washcloth or scrub the face to remove dead skin cells and increase draft of hair for a closer shave.
4. Use a slow regrowth of shaving cream. For a long time shaving, use a shaving cream like Aveeno positively smooth shave gel, aimed at slowing the regrowth of hair. Avoid shaving creams containing menthol, because they can dry the skin.
5. Select a great razor. Beard depends a great razor. Most crossdressers agree that the Gillette Sensor Excel is the ultimate tool for the job.
6. Do not use a dull blade. Never use the same slide more than two or three times since dull blades can lead to razor burn and ingrown hairs. In fact, I suggest you use a fresh blade every time you go into a woman.
7. Do not shave a step two. A large pre-shave woman must be done in two steps: first, shave in the direction of the hair. Then, lather, this time shaving against the grain for a cut even closer. Make sure to use small strokes to prevent irritation.
