Strengths / Features:

• The A400pro SmartCut is a professional grade rotary trimmer designed for trimming all types of materials. It is noted for cutting up to 10 sheets of 20 pounds at a time. However, this is not ideal for cutting large volumes of paper. Instead, it is designed for precise cutting laminates, panels, presentations and photos.


• This cup has a base metal cutting that provides stability and strength and the base has a printed alignment grid that helps precise cutting of all different sizes of paper. The cutting length of the A400 is twelve inches and the width of the base is nine inches.


• The A400 has a transparent cutting guide makes it simple to see exactly where the cutter trim. The rotating blade moves along the edge of the transparent guide that allows you to accurately judge where the blade travel.


• The A400 uses a high quality stainless steel rotary blade that cuts both ways. The blade can be easily replaced if it becomes dull. • GBC SmartCut A400pro is an excellent choice for small offices and home offices that are looking for an introductory level of professional quality rotary trimmer.


• The trimmer offers a great set of features for its price level. However, it offers a limited length, cutting table and cutting blade is not so sure that I prefer a true professional paper trimmer. For these characteristics you need to step up to the 500 series of cutting CBG.


• However, the 500 series size, does not offer wave cutting or punching. If you need these features, then the A400 or A410pro offering a length of 15 inches are ideal cut.
