Philishave Razors

Philishave RazorsWhere does the electric shaver is he?

Razors have been around for a very long time, although electric razors did not come into existence until the 1930s. Since then, they have evolved and are now a staple in the repertoires of many beautiful people.

Even if there were early experiments with clockwork and friction engine, electric razors do not appear until the 1930s. The electric shaver was invented by Jacob Schick Canada in the 1920s. He certainly thought that the age of a man could be extended to 120 years if properly shaved.

Schick had already invented a system in which a person can insert new razor blades in one without having to touch them, so an electric razor was the next step. It came with a monstrous machine was much too large for the market, but it had to be developed to make it easier to handle. He waited an electric motor that is small enough to fit in a portable device, but also powerful enough to cut the beard, has been developed.

He sold his first electric shaver in 1931 to $ 25 in New York. In the same year, he managed to sell a huge 3,000 more. This version contains an oscillating induction motor that drove a knife slides in a slotted shear. The engine had to be actually "launched" using a rotating wheel exposed. All these components are housed in a sleek, black, bakelite device that could easily be held comfortably in one hand.

Schick Electric Shaver made his way in 1937 and 1.5 million in use with its market of $ 20 million.

Of course competitors out of nowhere, and therefore has many counterfeits of patent and trial. A competitor was Gillette, a name that is well known today.

The Remington "razor close and Sunbeam Shavemaster" were also launched in 1937. The latter used a brush motor with a sheet shearing head, which was certainly different from the engine and cutting Schick slot.

Two years later, the Philips Philishave 'launched in the Netherlands, using a different technology with a rotating blade shearing behind a circular head.

When the cutting area of electric shavers has been quite low. In fact, they are generally an area only a quarter the size of those of modern electric razors.

Electric razor technology soon launched in Britain in the mid-1930s. Their names such as "Viceroy" and "Zenith", suggested they were more accurate than the gadget could not be found. However, only the U.S. military arrived in Great Britain that the electric razor is gaining ground.

The shaver also gained popularity when Hollywood got involved. Seen in such films as The Long Wait and Rear Window, electric razor was definitely considered a gadget for the modern man.

Throughout the years, the electric razor evolved. For example, female role models have been designed. It was something that was not observed until the late 1940s.

These days dry shaving is not necessarily the only option. Some may now be used in conjunction with shaving cream, w while others may be used in the shower.

Cordless, battery-powered models are also available.
