Electric Razors Shavers? I am 19 and have been shaving with a Mach 3 razor for several years. A friend told me that I should try an electric razor, because they give a better shave. I told them I used one once and my skin irritated. They said that I must use a few times before my skin does get used. Is this true? If yes, how long would it take for my skin to get adjusted to that? And even if I decide to start using an electric razor that I can use the post shave solution (lotion Zirh) I use with my Mach 3 after shaving? Or is it not a good idea ... No, the information you have is not true. electric razors do not give a closer shave, and they will give you razor bumps, and / or irritation if you're inclined to / IT. If you really want a close shave, a disposable razor or cartridge is the normal way to go. If irritation and bumps are a problem for you, I suggest putting a warm washcloth on your face for 5 minutes, or at least a couple after shaving. There is a reason they use hot towels to hair salons. they really work. average person, it takes a week to the skin and stubble to get used to an electric razor. In going after-shave, use it whenever you want. I found that an electric razor shaving is becoming a Five O'Clock Shadow, faster than when I shave with a razor ordinary. Posted on February 28, 2010.
