Dop Bag

You know the little travel kit / bag where men put shaving tips and other bathroom? I often hear it referred to as a "dop" kit, but do not know what it represents.

is what I think ... Like you, I've always wondered ... My father was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force and he always traveled with his dop kit ... it has always been mysterious to me. but I enjoyed looking through it when he returned from exotic places ... it would have all kinds of toiletries for hotels and even some with the logo of the Air Force on them ... it is hilarious that these things could hold so mystical to me ... lol
